Montero is impressing Cubs manager Joe Maddon this spring, but that doesn't mean he's going to get a bigger role once the regular season starts, the Chicago Sun-TImes reports.

Maddon said he likes how Montero is moving and throwing this spring, but the veteran is still looking at just a start or two a week in place of Willson Contreras in 2017. "Willson is the guy, and Miggy knows that," Maddon said. Montero's only real path to fantasy relevance this season appears to be a Conteras injury.
