Mets claimed RHP Ryan Reid off waivers from the Pirates. Reid was designated for assignment by the Bucs earlier this month despite posting promising numbers between the majors and Triple-A Indianapolis in 2013. He could factor into the Mets' bullpen mix in 2014.
