Marlins manager Mike Redmond plans to give Matt Diaz playing time in left field and at first base against left-handed pitching. Diaz hasn't been nearly as good against southpaws in recent seasons, but the Marlins don't have many options. He's never started a game at first base in the majors but has played there recently at Triple-A. Diaz might be worth an add in deep NL-only leagues.
