Mark Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that Rays are interested in free agent infielders Jamey Carroll and Mark Reynolds. Carroll continues to draw a shocking amount of interest for a 39-year-old coming off a season in which he batted just .211/.267/.251 in 249 plate appearances. In addition to the Rays, the Rangers, Indians, Blue Jays, Royals and Padres have all expressed at least some level of interest in Carroll this winter. The 30-year-old Reynolds has drawn interest from the Twins, Brewers, Angels and Rays, amongst others, after batting .220/.306/.393 with 21 homers for the Indians and Yankees last season.
