Mariners designated OF Carlos Peguero for assignment. The move clears room for the newly-signed John Buck on the 40-man roster. Peguero, who turns 27 next month, owns a .195/.242/.380 batting line over 219 plate appearances in the majors and regressed in Triple-A last year.
