Mariners acquired OF Casper Wells from the Tigers in the Doug Fister deal. Wells is a very good defensive outfielder and was holding his own with the bat, hitting .259 with four homers and a .781 OPS over 124 plate appearances before being sent down to Triple-A earlier this month. He profiles best as a fourth outfielder/occasional starter.
