Manager Ryne Sandberg indicated Wednesday that Slowey remains in competition for the final spot in the Phillies' rotation, CSN Philadelphia reports. Slowey's last four outing have been in relief, so the signs do not point to him getting the job. He is competing with Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez and Sean O'Sullivan.
