Lombardozzi was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday. Lombardozzi was used sparingly by the Pirates in his latest big league stint and didn't do much to establish himself as even a decent bench bat. He appeared in six games for a single plate appearance and never reached base, so the Pirates opted to instead get some bullpen help.
