Lincecum struggled again Friday, allowing 11 runners to reach base and giving up four earned runs in a loss to the Red Sox, but he will remain in the Angels' rotation for the time being, Pedro Moura of the LA Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lincecum sits with an 8.49 ERA and 2.29 WHIP after eight starts with the Angels, which is all the evidence needed to describe how he is pitching right now. However, manager Mike Scioscia said after Saturday's game that Lincecum will receive another start next time through the rotation. That lines Lincecum up to pitch during next week's series with the A's, a team he limited to one run over six innings in his Angels debut, but tagged him for four runs over three innings five days later.
