Lincecum (hip) visited with a hip specialist in Colorado on Wednesday and they will determine the pitcher's next course of action Thursday, Andrew Baggarly of the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Lincecum has battled through a number of injuries throughout the season and it remains to be seen if he'll rejoin the roster again this season. Thursday's plan with Dr. Marc Philippon should shed some light on Lincecum's prognosis for the rest of the year, but even if he does make it back to the mound, it'll be in a low-leverage bullpen role in all likelihood.
