Lincecum (forearm) played catch Monday, Alex Pavlovic of CSN Bay Area reports. Though it resulted in his placement on the DL last week, Lincecum's forearm contusion isn't expected to sideline him much further beyond the 15-day minimum. Even so, it seems unlikely at this point that Lincecum will have a rotation spot awaiting him in the second half, as the Giants have since bolstered their rotation with the additions of Matt Cain and Jake Peavy from the DL. After a decent start to the season, Lincecum fizzled out before being sidelined by the injury, and now sports a 4.13 ERA and 1.48 WHIP over 76.1 innings.
