Adams has played just 22 major-league games this season, as he failed to make the Opening Day roster and made trips to the injured list for both shin and elbow issues. He did very little during his limited opportunities to suggest he deserved to stick around, as he hit just .167/.250/.194. The interest on the open market for a 32-year-old bat-only player who owns a .513 OPS over the last two seasons is likely to be muted.
