Lee (elbow) has been medically cleared to resume pitching and hopes to join a team for the 2016 season, Dayn Perry of CBS Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lee became a free agent in November after the Phillies declined to pick Lee's option, but the veteran left-hander appears to have his sights set on returning to the major leagues in 2016. He has not pitched in a game since 2014 due to elbow issues, but his recent medical clearance has allowed him to resume throwing. It's still too early to tell whether Lee will find a landing spot, but as the offseason progresses it's possible that a team will be willing to take a flier on the former Cy Young winner.
