Chatwood was placed on the injured list for an undisclosed reason Friday, Kerry Crowley of The San Jose Mercury News reports.

Chatwood was designated for assignment by the Giants at the end of August, and he went unclaimed on waivers. However, he'll be unavailable for now due to his placement on the injured list.
