Lackey (9-7) allowed one run on three hits and a walk and struck out six over eight innings in a dominant win Tuesday over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing a first-inning homer to Kole Calhoun, Lackey utterly locked down the Angels lineup. He induced a solid 12 swinging strikes in 102 pitches and was in control the entire time, throwing first-pitch strikes to 17 of 27 batters. The effort extended his quality start streak to four, and he owns an excellent 23:4 K:BB in 27 innings over that stretch.
