Kirkman (shoulder) played catch Wednesday after taking two days off, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Kirkman suffered a shoulder impingement last week, but has begun the process of returning to the mound. He's signed with the Rangers as a non-roster invitee, and will look for a strong showing in spring training to propel him to a roster spot.
