Kevin Burkhardt of SNY reports that the Mets are meeting with Scott Hairston's agent on Tuesday. The Mets are optimistic about re-signing Hairston, even though he has reportedly drawn interest from the Tigers, Yankees, Giants, Cardinals and Indians. The 32-year-old batted .263/.299/.504 with 20 homers and an .803 OPS this past season and is seeking a multi-year deal.
