Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (forearm) will be placed on the 45-day injured list with a right forearm strain, according to manager Ron Gardenhire. It's the same injury that sidelined the 34-year-old veteran hurler for a good chunk of time last season.
