Johnson went 2-for-3 with a double in Monday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson is batting a solid .292/.346/.375 over 24 spring at-bats as he looks to carve out a bench role for the Marlins. The veteran lefty-masher will likely split time with Justin Bour at first base, but the coaching staff has repeatedly noted that Bour will be given more opportunities against left-handed pitching than he was afforded last season. When all is said and done, it's likely that Johnson works his way into a platoon at first base given each player's relative strength against opposite handed pitching.
