Johnson was the hero Wednesday, hitting a bases-clearing double to give the Mets a 5-2 lead over the Marlins that held to the end of the game.
EDGE Analysis
With two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth, Johnson stepped in to face former Marlins' closer A.J. Ramos. He yanked a breaking ball into the right field corner, giving catcher Travis d'Arnaud time to score all the way from first. The 5-2 lead proved to be the final score, as the Mets won a big game against the division rival Marlins. Johnson still has just 30 RBI on the year however, and is hitting .254.
