Johnson (elbow) indicated that his MRI results were inconclusive due to the scar tissue from his earlier Tommy John surgery, Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. He began strength exercises again Sunday. Johnson continues to work his way back from his second Tommy John surgery, but it's a slow process that could threaten to end his career if not done cautiously. The veteran hurler hasn't pitched in a game since 2013, but will continue rehabbing with the hopes of joining the Padres' rotation at some point this season.
