St. Louis Cardinals infielder Jhonny Peralta was placed on the disabled list on Thursday with an upper respiratory illness. He'd already been losing playing time to Jedd Gyorko and Greg Garcia, and the time off likely won't help his chances when he comes back. Peralta can be dropped in deep leagues.
