Jeremy Bonderman has elected to become a free agent. Bonderman cleared waivers after being designated for assignment earlier this week, but he chose free agency over accepting a minor league assignment. The 30-year-old right-hander posted a 4.93 ERA in seven starts with the Mariners and should latch on elsewhere fairly quickly, though chances are he'll have to serve as minor league depth.
