Jayson Stark of ESPN.com reports that the Phillies have "batted around the idea" of an extension for Roy Halladay. It's odd timing, given that Halladay is coming off a down year where he dealt with shoulder problems. General manager Ruben Amaro said they've "kicked it around, but we tabled it," though he wouldn't rule out resuming talks eventually. "I guess it's still possible," said Amaro. "But a lot has to do with how he feels and how he performs. So that's a decision and a conversation that would probably have to go into the spring, and maybe into the season."
