Jason Kubel (quad) is not in the Diamondbacks' starting lineup on Friday. Kubel has been out of the lineup since Tuesday with a left quad issue, but his condition has improved over the past couple of days. It sounds like he'll avoid a trip to the DL, but could still be questionable for the remainder of the weekend. Alfredo Marte is drawing the start in left field on Friday.
