Jason Kubel is out of the Diamondbacks' lineup on Wednesday night and could also sit out Thursday. Kubel is batting just .125/.160/.250 here in August after a scintillating June and July. Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson told reporters Wednesday that the outfielder is in need of a "refresher" before the stretch run.
