Izturis will be in the mix for the starting job at second base this spring, the Toronto Star reports.Defense will be the priority from the keystone, at least to begin the season, as Izturis, Ryan Goins, Ramon Santiago, and Munenori Kawasaki all lack offensive upside. Prospect Devon Travis could take over the job at some point, and while he'll be part of the competition during spring training, he's likely to begin the year at Triple-A Buffalo.
