Izturis signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays on Friday that included an invitation to spring training, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsbet reports.

Izturis had his club option for 2016 declined, but the 35-year-old is back with Toronto anyway. He hasn't appeared in the majors since 2014 due to injuries, where he batted .286 in 38 plate appearances.
