Infante agreed to a minor league contract with the Braves on Thursday, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

Infante was cut loose by the Royals last week after clearing through waivers unclaimed, and he'll now get the chance to continue his career in Atlanta. The 34-year-old was hitting just .239 this season after slashing a disappointing .220/.234/.318 in 2015, so it remains to be seen how much he has left in the tank but he could get an opportunity to provide middle infield depth in the majors at some point.
