Hill (forearm) will start a rehab assignment with High-A San Jose on Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Hill isn't likely to need more than two or three games in the minors, so he's still on pace to return by the weekend or soon after. The Giants embark on a seven-game road trip on Friday, so in an ideal world, Hill will be able to make his return by then.
