Henderson (biceps) will start his rehab assignment Friday at Double-A Binghamton, Adam Rubin of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Henderson was placed on the 15-day DL on June 21 with right biceps tendinitis after missing a few games with a shoulder impingement. The 33-year-old has not pitched since June 18 and has struggled during the past two months, as his seasonal totals are up to 25.1 innings pitched, with a 4.26 ERA and a 1.34 WHIP. Henderson will be eligible to return for the series opener against the Marlins on Monday, but could come back a few days later if the Mets want him to throw in a few rehab games.
