Heath Bell has elected free agency. The Orioles weren't going to be calling up the veteran reliever any time soon, so he chose instead to look for work elsewhere. He posted a 7.27 ERA over 13 appearances for the Rays this season, and will likely have to settle for a minor league pact wherever he winds up.
