Hicks was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a left hamstring strain.

The Orioles had labeled the injury which forced Hicks from Monday's game in Philadelphia as a hamstring cramp, but evidently, subsequent testing revealed a strain. Hicks will be eligible for activation on August 4, although it's not clear at this point whether he will be ready at that time.
