Hanson agreed to a minor league contract with the Giants on Wednesday, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports. Hanson, who has yet to pitch in a game this year, will add some starting pitching depth in the Giants' minor league ranks. He struggled in 10 starts with Triple-A Charlotte last season, posting a 6.16 ERA and 32:28 K:BB ratio over 49.2 innings.
