Hamilton (knee) expects to be 100 percent before spring training next season, TR Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hamilton underwent season-ending surgery in June to repair torn cartilage in his knee but appears to be ahead of schedule in his rehab and is optimistic to be at full strength before next season. It's still too early to say anything definitive, but the good news is that he apparently is feeling better than expected and hasn't encountered any setbacks. There's a chance the 35-year-old could be released in the offseason given the number of question marks surrounding him, but even if he does, another big league club would likely pick him up if he proves to be healthy entering the 2017 season.
