Gillaspie (back) resumed his minor-league rehab assignment with High-A San Jose on Saturday, Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Gillaspie had been nearing a return from the DL after playing five games with Triple-A Sacramento, but incurred a setback which held him back for 10 days. He'll likely play a few more games in the minors before the Giants move him back to the big leagues, where he hasn't played since May 10 due to back spasms. Regardless, he could be pressed for playing time upon his return due to the hot bat of Eduardo Nunez and the recent emergence of Christian Arroyo at third base.
