Gillaspie (back) had his rehab assignment paused after going down with the flu, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

It seems like one thing after the other is getting in the way of Gillaspie's recovery, although it seems like his back is still in working order during all of this. This doesn't seem like a major issue, so expect him to resume his rehab assignment in the next few days before returning to the Giants within the next week or so. Once he returns, though, he may be limited to a reserve role now that Eduardo Nunez is back at the hot corner.
