Giants placed OF Andres Torres on the 15-day disabled list with a left Achilles strain. He's also dealing with bone spurs in addition to the Achilles issue. Torres will see a specialist next week and seems likely to miss the rest of the season. Francisco Peguero has been recalled to provide outfield depth.
