Gee was designated for assignment by the Mets on Monday.
Gee has struggled significantly this season, posting an ERA of 5.90 in 39.2 innings with a 25:11 K:BB ratio and a 1.66 WHIP. He should have no trouble catching on with another team in the coming days as he can still provide back of the rotation help for a number of teams.
