If at some point this season fantasy owners expected help from the 33-year-old Garza, his results in August should disabuse them of that notion. The veteran wrapped up the season's penultimate month by putting up a 7.67 ERA, 1.96 WHIP and 19:18 K:BB over 27 innings spanning six starts, even with a pair of one-run outings to his credit. His surprisingly decent work in the first half is a distant memory at this point.
