Frandsen and the Nationals avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $1 million contract Friday, Nats Insider reports. Frandsen proved to be a valuable utility player for the Nationals last season by playing four positions and faring well in pinch-hit at-bats, so the club decided to bring him back for another year. Expect him to play a similar role in 2015.
