Fernandez suffered his second loss of the season Saturday versus the Giants, allowing four runs on three walks and seven hits in six innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old delivered his first quality start of the season in his previous outing, but he was hittable Saturday and issued three or more walks for the third straight turn. The Giants only managed one extra-base hit off of Fernandez, so owners can take solace in the fact that he's not being squared up, but he will need to cut down on the free passes if he is to replicate his career WHIP of 1.02. He will look to rebound Thursday versus the Dodgers.
