Fernandez (elbow) made his first official rehab appearance with High-A Jupiter on Saturday, allowing five runs on eight hits over three innings. Fernandez touched 99 MPH with his heater during the outing and though the box score doesn't look pretty, the rehabbing hurler was pleased with his performance. "I would love to go out there and give up no runs, but I'm trying to work on my stuff," Fernandez told MLB.com after the game. He struck out two with one walk while tossing 39 of 54 pitches for strikes while focusing on his change-up in the game. The Marlins' ace is scheduled to build up his workload over five rehab appearances with the next one likely coming Friday, again with High-A Jupiter.
