Federowicz (knee) caught his first bullpen session Friday, and hopes to begin a rehab assignment in late June or early July, Jeff Saunders of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. While Federowicz won't be the everyday catcher when he returns, he'll likely slot in behind Derek Norris and receive an occasional start. However, his return date remains unclear, but he's expected to be out through the All-Star break.
