Diamond was signed to a minor league contract last winter with the thought that he could add left-handed depth out of the bullpen. He had his contract selected by the team and made one appearance in mid-June before getting sent back to the minors. Despite his record, the veteran has performed admirably for Buffalo this season. However, at this stage of the season it is obvious Diamond will not contribute at the major league level in 2016.
