Signed during the offseason to battle for one of the New York Yankees voided infield spots, second baseman Danny Espinosa has been released by the club. The 30-year-old's chances of earning one of those spots gradually slimmed with the rises of Miguel Andujar and Tyler Wade, alongside the acquisitions of Brandon Drury and Neil Walker.
