Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports that the Orioles have had talks with the Rangers about a trade for catcher Taylor Teagarden. It makes sense, as he is out of options and O's manager Buck Showalter was with Texas when Teagarden was drafted. It would likely only take a minor leaguer or two to get a deal done. Teagarden, who turns 28 later this month, batted .235 (8-for-34) with two doubles and two RBI at the major league level this season. The O's view him as a backup for Matt Wieters.
