Crain (biceps) threw a simulated game Tuesday and is scheduled to throw another Friday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Crain had an outside chance of cracking the White Sox's Opening Day roster, but his rehab continues to take much longer than expected. He has not taken to a big league mound since June 29, 2013, when he last played for the White Sox. When healthy, there is room for him in the bullpen.
