Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Cole Hamels has been placed on the paternity list. Hamels will miss the next couple of days, but is expected to make his scheduled start on Saturday versus the Brewers at home. Hamels struggled after returning from the disabled list with an oblique injury, but has trended up over his past two starts. Hamels should be started in most matchups going forward.
