San Diego Padres left-hander Cole Hamels (shoulder) threw a bullpen session on Thursday, but he doesn't expect to begin pitching in games in camp until sometime after the Padres break camp for the regular season. Hamels underwent surgery on his shoulder in September of 2021 that came with an 18- to 20-month recovery.
